The Technology Challenge.
After speaking with lots of families recently one thing is clear, our lives are getting busier and more technology dependent. So how does this impact on our families?

I could go on and on but to see my son changing before my eyes due to this seeming simple adaptation was so emotional and shocking at the effect it had, it was like sitting with a different child next to me at times the way he reacted and interacted, I was a very emotional Mum much to his total embarrassment.

So I started chatting to a few people who worked within the health and wellness industry and also a selection of parents to compare notes. What I found was a pattern which was shocking.

Messy Play – love it or hate it??
Its so easy to forget as parents how the little things can occupy children, for example one child who's mum explained "she never sits still, she wont concentrate and so we wont be here long." was the last one to leave after her daughter sat in a tray of lentils and bird seed 5 minutes after arriving and didn't move for an hour and a half, she was just sat watching the seed run through her fingers, feeling the textures and watching how she could make it move.

I am very excited to announce that my little Mr is here - Reuben Jordan Gerard, 8lb 5.5oz, at 20:49, on 19th February. I don't really have an awful lot of wisdom to pass on so instead I'll let you know how it all happened and how I have coped now that I am out numbered in the daytime!

The Networking Mummies Awards and Me!
I am now officially in count down to the Networking Mummies Awards 2016! They are in 8 days time!!! My dress is ready, my beautiful jewellery is on its way, my dancing shoes are packed! Looking forward to a much needed night away!
